Senegalese logistics solutions provider, Logidoo, has launched an all-in-one online market place, Afridoo, which is designed to simplify online sales and empower African merchants.
Founder and CEO of Logidoo, Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, who announced the launching of the new platform on Tuesday, said the startup had developed a comprehensive solution covering the entire logistics value chain.
“By integrating actors from both the formal and informal sectors, it ensures extensive market coverage, encompassing everything from transportation to cash management,” he said.
“Afridoo eliminates the complexities of managing separate platforms for inventory, orders, and deliveries.
“By offering a centralised platform to manage online stores, track inventory, process orders, and connect with customers, Afridoo empowers businesses to take control of their online operations,” Traoré said.
Founded in 2020, Logidoo already operating in Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia, with the startup so far onboarding more than 3,000 logistics providers, completed over 100,000 operations, and served over 400 clients.
Early this year, it raised a $1.5 million round of funding to enable it to enact its ambitious expansion plan, and has now embarked on that journey with the launch of Afridoo, a comprehensive solution for SMEs, individual merchants, and companies looking to establish or expand their presence in the African e-commerce landscape.
“With Afridoo, businesses across the continent can streamline their online operations, expand their reach, and overcome logistical challenges,” said Traoré.
“The user-friendly platform integrates an Order Management System (OMS), a Warehouse Management System (WMS), and a Last Mile Management System (LMS), a unique combination that enables merchants to efficiently manage all aspects of their online stores.”
