In this video, Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group and owner of a 650,000 barrels per day capacity refinery, presented the first sample of locally-produced petrol to the public after over two decades since local refining of crude products by government-owned refineries last happened, leaving the country with no option than importation of refined crude.

He explained why the first product sample from his refinery was clearer than the ones already in use.

“We Nigerians must celebrate right now that the environment will be cleaner, also people having issues with their health, especially in industries people having issues with their vehicles will now have the real product”

In this video, Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, the South African model whose qualification for a spot as a Miss South Africa finalist drew controversy because of her Nigerian descent, has announced her plan to participate in Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

The contest organisers had established that Ms Adetshina is from South Africa. In interviews, she has also stated that she was raised in Cape Town and was born in Soweto, a township adjacent to Johannesburg.

However, online critics looked into every detail of her life, and claimed that her mother was not South African, but originally from Mozambique, and her father Nigerian.

Adetshina accepted the new invitation from the organisers following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa. She also thanked those who supported her amid the harassment she faced online.
