Nigerian music stars, Wizkid and Davido, have been penciled down along with other top global stars to headline the 2023 edition of the Afro-Nation Portugal event coming up between June 28 – 30 at the Praia Da Rocha Beach, Portimao, Algarve, in the European country.
Apart from the Nigerian super stars, other African acts lined up for the summer event include Victony from Nigeria, South African stars, Focalistic, Scorpion Kings, Major League DJz and Uncle Waffles, among others.
According to an event itinerary released by the organisers, Wizkid who is popularly known as “Star Boy”, will mount the stage on Thursday, June 29, and is expected to thrill the crowd at bay with his hits songs including “Essence”, “Mighty Wine” and “Blessed”.
A statement by the organisers said:
“Afro Nation Portugal are pleased with adding more talented artists to perform at this year’s festival.
“These artists represent the very best of African music and culture, and we can’t wait to see them perform on our beautiful beach stage.
“With so many incredible acts on the line-up, this is shaping up to be the summer’s most unmissable party and our best festival yet,” the statement said.
