African-American Hollywood actor, Micheal B. Jordan, has expressed his burning desire to visit West African country, Ghana.
The “Black Panther” who revealed his desire in the latest episode of “The Culture Joint” podcast where he appeared as a special guest on Tuesday, said he hoped to embark on the trip soon.
He also expressed his anticipation to “immerse himself in the West African country’s vibrant culture and rich heritage.”
The Hollywood star who is widely recognized for his iconic roles in movies like m the highly successful “Black Panther” and “Creed”, shared his longing for a trip to Ghana during the Podcast interview.
When asked which African country he would love to visit, Jordan said:
“A place that I’ve been longing to visit is Ghana. I’ve been trying to go spend sometime there but everytime I am planning to go, something I can’t explain will just pop.”
“I’ve heard incredible things about Ghana and its deep-rooted history and lively culture. The welcoming atmosphere is something I’ve always wanted to experience,” Jordan added.
The actor’s interest in travelling to “motherland” is a reflection of a growing trend by many American-African celebrities who have expressed their desires to trace their roots to the African continent, with many of them dreaming of relocating permanently.
Many of them say they are drawn to Africa by the
captivating blend of history, art, natural beauty and the serenity the continent offers.
In the recent past, Ghana has become a top destination for African-American celebraties with the likes Meek Mill, Chance The Rapper, Ludacris, Usher, Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, and other celebrities visiting the country in recent years.
