Top African music stars including Nigerian Afrobeats artistes, Rema, Asake, and South African Popiano star, Tyla, have been confirmed as the headline acts for the 2024 Afronation Festival scheduled for Portugal in June 2024.
Organizers of the event, who made the announcement on its Instagram page on Wednesday, said other top-notch African acts like J Hus, Seyi Vibez, Odumodublvck, Flavour, among others, would also be part of the concert.
The inaugural festival which had earlier been billed for Lagos in December was cancelled following what the organisers put down to “circumstances beyond their control,” with a promise that the Afronation Portugal would be the best festival ever witnessed in the European country.
“FIRST WAVE #ANP2024 LINE-UP IS HERE! The fomo will be real, don’t say we didn’t warn you! General tickets available on November 23rd at 1:00 pm GMT. Sign up via the link in bio to receive priority access 3 hours before tickets go on general sale!” the Instagram post said.
“AfroNation is gearing up to host a vibrant music festival in Algarve Portimao, Portugal, celebrating a dynamic mix of Afrobeats, hip-hop, Afrohouse, Amapiano, dancehall, R&B, and more,” it added.
The organisers of the show also promised to refund all those who had previously purchased the Lagos edition tickets.
