Nigerian hip-hop star, David Adeleke, who is popularly known as Davido, has announced a sensational release of his self-documentary series on global streaming giant, Netflix.
Davido, who recently dropped his smash album, Timeless, made the announcement during an interview session with Dubai-based entertainment media platform, Esquire Middle East, where he is currently promoting the album.
According to the multiple award-winning Davido, the docu-series which is titled “David,” will be released in December 2023, with the focus on his life.
“I have a movie coming out in December with Netflix, It’s very, very big. This is the first time I’ve said anything about it, actually. It’s a documentary–a docu-series about my life, called ‘David’. I shouldn’t be talking about this, but yeah,” Davido said during the interview.
In 2022, the “OBO” star had also hinted that he was working on a documentary on his life and music.
In an interview, Davido had revealed that he was in talks with Netflix to release a documentary and a game show.
“With music, I plan to branch out to other things. I am now working on my Netflix documentary it is going to be amazing,” he had said.
“Music will always be my primary, but I am working on a tv game show. I’m very fun to watch. It will be “like Fear Factor” but with girls and tasks. The winner gets a lot of money and will be able to go on tour with me,” he added.
