Video: Kenyan President, William Ruto, launches tree restoration policy, to plant 15 billion trees by 2032



In Kenya, President William Ruto has launched a tree restoration program at Ngong Hills Forest in an effort to combat the effects of climate change in the country.

The policy, through the African Landscape Restoration Initiative, is to plant 15 billion trees by 2032, and will work to reduce greenhouse emissions, stop and reverse deforestation, and restore 5.1 million hectares of deforested and degraded landscapes.

The currency crisis is however not peculiar to Kenya alone, most African nations lack a robust commodities export base making them vulnerable to economic shocks.

AIPF 1 is Nigeria’s first Carbon+ (ESG-focused) naira-denominated infrastructure fund to be listed on the Exchange.
