In Nigeria, police have arrested a lawyer and human rights activist, Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola for allegedly assaulting her orderly in Abuja, the country’s capital.

It is reported that the assault happened following the refusal of the orderly – Inspector Teju Moses – to do house chores.

Abiola and her maid have been arrested by the Nigerian police for the alleged offense.

The Chairman of the African Union and President of Senegal, Macky Sall at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly argues for the interest of Africa amidst the crisis that has bedeviled the world with the Ukraine war and the Covid-19 pandemic amongst others.

Sall argued that “Africa has suffered enough of the burden of history that it does not want to be the place of a new cold war but rather a pole of stability and opportunity open to all its partners on a mutually beneficial basis”
