VIDEO: Gambian lawmaker, Halifa Sallah, defends Africa’s position on Russia/Ukraine war



As reactions continue to trail Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine in the ongoing war in eastern Europe, a parliament member in the Gambia, Halifa Sallah has defended Africa’s seeming passive disposition to Russia’s assault contrary to reactions and positions of another continent across the world.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24 is casting a long shadow across Africa.


Video: Nigerian professor, Zainab Abiola, assaults female police orderly over chores



In Nigeria, police have arrested a lawyer and human rights activist, Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola for allegedly assaulting her orderly in Abuja, the country’s capital.

It is reported that the assault happened following the refusal of the orderly – Inspector Teju Moses – to do house chores.

Abiola and her maid have been arrested by the Nigerian police for the alleged offense.

Video of the assaulted bleeding and distressed police officer went viral on the internet on Thursday. Watch below:
