Moroccan international and Paris Saint-Germain defence ace, Achraf Hakimi, has emerged as the most valuable footballer in the Arab world with a market value of €65 million.
In a compilation made by sporting website, Transfermarkt, Hakimi came out tops ahead of Egyptian captain and Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, whose market value decreased to €55 million, placing him in second place.
Another Moroccan defender, Nayef Aguerd who currently plies his trade with EPL side, West Ham United, came in at third place with a market value of €35 million.
Other African players who made the list include another Moroccan young talent, Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid, who came in at sixth place boasting a market value of €35 million.
[t and Aguerd were key to the Atlas Lions’s remarkable run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, playing crucial roles in the defence and helping their national team reach the semifinals for the first time.
The feat and their outstanding performances have seen their lots grow by the day with their market value rising tremendously.
Diaz, on the other hand, is an emerging talent who recently switched allegiance to Morocco and has been one of the star performers as the Moroccan national team embarks on their campaign in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers beating Zambia 2-1 in their second match.
