Renowned American gospel singer and minister, Travis Greene, has been pencilled down to headline the “Harvest of Praise” charity concert slated for the Kenneth Kaunda International Conference Centre in Zambia on March 8, 2024.
The charity event, according to the organisers, would also have American singer, Phil Thompson, and Nigeria’s Tim Godfrey also performing alongside Zambian gospel singers, Esther Chungu, Pompi and Kings Malembe Malembe.
A statement on the website of the event organisers also reveal that top Nigerian gospel artistes like Chioma Jesus, Preye Odede, Frank Edwards and the duo of Mr M & Revelation will also perform at the concert, while top Nigerian comedian and events compere, Okey Bakassi, will be the host alongside Zambian media personality, Kunda Mando.
“The concert, Harvest of Praise, is a vision inspired by the Almighty God and has been designed to bring people of the world together, under one roof, in worship and praise to Jehovah,” the statement said.
“The visioner is The Very Reverend Ada Ugo-Ngadi, an ordained minster of Methodist Church. Its purpose is to harvest souls for the Lord in pursuit of a mission to raise a generation of people with super zeal to serve the Almighty,” the statement adds.
Lead Volunteer, Ugochukwu Ibemere, who also spoke on the upcoming concert, said:
“Zambia is set to experience its biggest and most exciting gospel music event ever. All ministers listed for the show have confirmed participation.
“Harvest of Praise is open to people of all faith, and admission is free. Zambians should expect a revival in God’s presence.”
