Published

on

Algerian international winger, Riyad Mahrez has tied the knot for the second time with English model, Taylor Ward, following his divorce from his first wife, Rita Johal, with whom he was married for six years.

The former Manchester City attacker tied the knot with Ward, who has a daughter for him, in a private ceremony at The Londoner Hotel located in Leicester Square on September 4.

Mahrez and his partner had announced their engagement in June 2021, before getting married in a Muslim ceremony in January 2022. The private wedding had only close friends and family members of the couple as guests, with a third ceremony reportedly scheduled for later this year.

The Algerian star, who signed a three-year contract with Saudi Pro League side, Al Ahli worth £30 million in the last transfer window, and his ex-wife with whom he had two children, separated in 2020 after she filed for divorce citing the player’s move from Leicester City to Manchester City in 2018.

Meanwhile, Mahrez has joined up with the Algeria National Team as the Fennec Foxes is set to face Tanzania in their Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round tie, having already booked a place in the competition that will be hosted by Ivory Coast in January next year.
