Video: Nigeria’s electoral commission maintains ‘glitch’ derailed its 2023 poll plans

Published

on

In this video, a senior official of Nigeria’s electoral commission, Festus Okoye refused to provide any details while insisting a “glitch” made it fail to upload results of Nigeria’s presidential election in February immediately after voting as promised, a development critics say allowed for manipulation of result sheets.

The major opposition candidates, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party are challenging the outcome announced by INEC.

European Union observers recently released a final report on the poll, faulting it on several grounds, and calling for reforms to enhance transparency and accountability.
