The 2023 edition of the Africa Tech Summit (ATS) London will have 12 carefully selected startups across the continent as participants, according to a release by the organisers of the summit.
ATS London is a premium African tech ecosystem conference series which holds annually in Nairobi, London, and Ghana, and provides insight and networking with the African IT industry.
The 15th edition is expected to bring together tech executives, MNOs, banks, investors, entrepreneurs, governments, trade groups, media, and leading ventures to stimulate investment and growth in African technology, the release said.
“Following a sold-out edition in 2022 of the Africa Tech Summit, the conference will bring together 300 African industry executives with foreign investors, corporations, and startups,” Andrew Fassnidge, Managing Director of Africa Tech Summit, said.
“Tech funding has slowed dramatically this year across the African tech ecosystem, so we are delighted to connect and showcase these leading ventures to international investors through this year’s investment showcase at London Stock Exchange.
“We look forward to welcoming 300 delegates, to drive business and investment forward between Africa and Europe.
“This year’s Venture Track will include an Investment Showcase as well as one-on-one investor meetings, which will help move investment and collaboration ahead,” he added.
The 12 startups that will participate in the 15th live Summit include five from Nigeria, namely Astravest, an are investment platform, e-health startup Famasi Africa, Creditchek, a fintech company Pivo, and training platform, Quantum Analytics.
Two Kenyan startups, digital banking platform, Waya, and product development service provider, eBiashara, also make the lineup, while Tanzanian transport app, Safiri App, UK-based fintech, Knabu, Zambian micro-lending platform, PremierCredit, Egyptian mobile payments service, Zeal, and South African financing platform, Profitshare Partners, also make the cut.
