Egyptian climate-tech startup, NoorNation, has announced receiving an undisclosed investment from Saudi Arabian firm, KBW Ventures, to help in its plans to scale up its operations.
CEO and founder of NoorNation, Ragy Ramadan, in a statement, said the fund from KWB Ventures founded by Saudi Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, was made possible by NoorNation’s impressive pitch at the finals of the “PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Programme: MENA Sustainability Edition.”
NoorNation provides technology-enabled decentralised energy and water infrastructure solutions to the off-grid sector across Egypt and Sub-Saharan Africa with the company’s flagship product, LifeBox, delivering clean energy and safe water to rural communities, farms, and tourism businesses at a reasonable price.
A look at the startup’s profile reads that it is an innovative mobile solution for green infrastructure delivering clean energy and safe water at an affordable price, LifeBox is designed and manufactured in Egypt.
Speaking on the funding, Ramadan said:
