Organisers of the highly anticipated Hill Festival coming up in Kigali, Rwanda slated for August 4 and 5, have promised that the festival which is coming to the country for the first time will be the best ever witnessed.
Abdoul Ndikumana, who is the brains behind the festival, in a statement on Wednesday, promised music enthusiasts in Kigali that the two-day festival promised a spectacular music experience as all the artistes lined up had already started preps, and were ready to fly to Kigali soon.
“The reason for Hill Festival is to promote Rwanda through music and its culture that many people around the world find unique. As Rwandans, it is good for us to showcase our culture and let people know more about the richness of our country,” Ndikumana said.
He announced the long line-up of artistes, DJs and MCs that will perform at the show, including rapper and lyricist Kivumbi King, Bulldogg, Michaela Rabitsch, Bushali, DJ Willy William and Truth Hurts.
Top Jamaican group, Inner Circle will also be part of the festival, as well as Chriss Eazy, Kenny Sol, Ruti Joel, Alta Ouses, Invasion Sound, Intayoberana and Inyamibwa.
“Others include Burundian star Big Fizzo, Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik Quartet, Ramond & DJ Zenas, Riderman, Yvan Muziki , DJ King Kalim, DJ Ira and DJ Sonia.
“DJ Bisoso will be on the decks entertaining the crowd while The Keza and Lion Manzi will be the event’s hosts.
“Other activities will include promoting and showcasing Made in Rwanda products during the festival, as well as creating an environment for kids to also have fun at the festival,” he said.
