Burning Heroes (BH) Founders Association, a tech platform with the mandate of empowering startups in Africa, has announced the launch of its Africa Startup Award for 2023.
The contest, according to BH, is designed to “help African Startups reveal their potential and help develop the region which has huge prospects.”
The Program Manager for the Burning Heroes Startup Awards, Victor Aneleh, who announced the commencement of entries for the award, said it is open to Pre-Seed Startups with market validation and product prototype, while campus-based and Seed Startups are also eligible to apply.
“The competition is a part of Burning Heroes Founders Association’s mission to equalize access to global opportunities for talented founders,” Aneleh said.
“BH’s target is to harness the potential of Tech Start-Ups which could serve as a catalyst to Africa’s socio-economic development and a key to unlocking local value creation and employment on the continent.”
“BH Africa will offer 30 of the early-stage startups domiciled or operating on the continent an opportunity to live-pitch online to an all-African and European panel of VCs and successful Tech Founders. Applications will however, close on January 13, 2023, and can be done online on our website,” he added.
Burning Heroes Startup Awards is supported by top partners in the USA and Europe including 500 Global, APX.VC, Techstars, Starta VC, and Stanford Entrepreneur Club.
