Video: Ugandans battling sweeping flood after torrential rain

The Ugandan government and Uganda Red Cross confirmed the death on Monday have confirmed that torrential rains have killed at least 24 people by floods in parts of eastern Uganda.

With flood accident in countries like, Nigeria, Sudan and he Central African Republic, evidently, the month of July is a raining period in most African country but it appears due measures are hardly in place in preparation of the season as casualties are recorded year after year as a result of rains which in most case could have been better managed.

In this video, some Ugandans are seen battling for safety from the sweeping flood.

The sacred river is one of the highlights of the festival. It is believe to hold the power of fertility. Thousands of people gather in procession to the river every year to offer prayers and sacrifice to the Yoruba goddess of fertility.
